What to Expect at an Initial Appointment

Attending an initial session does not commit you to any further sessions but is a time to consider whether you would feel comfortable working with me and whether what I offer meets your needs.

At your initial session we will spend time talking about the difficulties you are experiencing currently, any past history which you may feel is relevant, and what you may hope and expect to gain from therapy. Together we will discuss what is involved in therapy and whether you may benefit from some sessions. I will let you know what appointment times I have available.

At the end of this session I will invite you to go away and think over what we have discussed and to phone me within a week if you want to take up one of my available appointments.


Fees

My fee is £35-£40 per session depending on income and circumstances. It will be up to you to offer what you feel is manageable for you. For counselling students in training I offer a reduced fee of £30 with an initial half-hour meeting for free.

For those with health insurance, I am registered with Pruhealth and my partner number is PRU3605517.
